Community Guidelines
Effective September 28, 2026 · These guidelines apply to discussions, replies and other user-created community content.
1. The goal
Doubtit is built for careful discussion of ideas. Disagreement is expected; personal attacks are not. Challenge claims, reasoning and evidence without demeaning people.
2. Do
- Explain your reasoning and distinguish evidence from opinion.
- Ask questions before assuming another user's motives.
- Use respectful language when discussing atheism, religion, philosophy, science and other sensitive subjects.
- Correct mistakes without humiliating the person who made them.
3. Do not
- Threaten, harass, bully, stalk or repeatedly target another user.
- Encourage violence, self-harm, criminal activity or exploitation.
- Post sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse material, or sexual content involving minors.
- Publish private or identifying information about another person without lawful authority and consent.
- Impersonate others, scam users, spam communities or manipulate discussions through coordinated abuse.
- Upload or distribute material that infringes copyright, trademark or other intellectual-property rights.
- Use the community to discriminate against or attack people because of protected characteristics.
- Deliberately misrepresent evidence in a way intended to cause harm or deceive users.
4. Reports
Use the in-app report option when content or behavior violates these guidelines. Include enough context for moderators to understand the issue without adding unrelated personal information.
5. Blocking
When the blocking control is available, use it to prevent unwanted interaction with another user. Blocking is a user-safety control and does not replace reporting content that may violate these guidelines.
6. Moderation actions
Moderators may remove content, restrict participation, suspend accounts, or take other reasonable action based on severity, repetition, context and available evidence. We may also act on behavior that attempts to evade moderation.
7. Appeals and context
Moderation decisions can be affected by incomplete context. When a support or appeal channel is available, provide the relevant facts clearly. Do not retaliate against users for making good-faith reports.
8. AI-generated content
AI-generated responses may be wrong, offensive or incomplete. Report problematic AI output through the in-app reporting mechanism rather than treating it as verified fact.
9. Enforcement
Serious violations may result in immediate restriction or account termination where reasonably necessary to protect users or comply with law.
Child safety contact
For child-safety concerns, including suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation, contact safety@doubtit.in. Doubtit also provides in-app reporting and blocking controls.
