1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Doubtit, you agree to these Terms of Use, the Community Guidelines and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
Doubtit is intended for people aged 16 and older, or the higher minimum age required by applicable law. By using Doubtit, you confirm that you meet the applicable minimum age and can legally agree to these terms.
3. Your account
- Keep your account information accurate and reasonably current.
- Protect your password and session credentials.
- Do not impersonate another person or create accounts for abuse, fraud or evasion.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
4. Community participation
Doubtit is a text-first discussion community. Users may create discussions and replies inside groups. By posting, you agree to follow the Community Guidelines and applicable law.
5. Content rules
You must not use Doubtit to post or distribute content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful toward protected groups, sexually exploitative, involving child sexual abuse, intentionally deceptive for harm, defamatory in a way prohibited by law, invasive of privacy, fraudulent, spammy, or infringing another person's intellectual property.
Do not share passwords, financial account details, government identifiers, private addresses or other sensitive information about yourself or another person.
6. Moderation
Doubtit may review, limit, remove or restrict access to content or accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these rules, respond to reports, protect users, comply with law, prevent abuse or protect the service.
7. Reporting and blocking
Use the in-app reporting and blocking controls where available. False, abusive or malicious reports may themselves violate these Terms.
8. Your content
You retain rights you have in content you submit. You grant Doubtit a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display and technically process your submitted content only as reasonably necessary to operate, moderate, secure and improve the service.
This license ends when the content is deleted, except for limited copies retained where reasonably required for security, legal compliance or backup recovery.
9. Intellectual property
Doubtit software, branding, interface design and original service content are owned by or licensed to Doubtit or its licensors and are protected by applicable law.
10. Books and third-party resources
Book metadata, public information links and retailer links may come from third-party providers. Availability, prices, editions and external-site content are controlled by those providers.
11. AI features
Doubtit AI, Claim Check, Logical Fallacies and Thought Experiment provide AI-generated responses for exploration and reasoning. They can be incomplete, outdated, incorrect or unsuitable for a particular situation.
AI output is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, safety or other professional advice, and should not be treated as verified fact unless independently checked.
12. Service availability
Doubtit may change, suspend or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, completeness or error-free operation.
13. Account suspension or termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines or applicable law, or where needed to protect users or the service.
14. Account deletion
You may delete your account from Doubtit Settings or use the public Account Deletion page.
15. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Doubtit is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the service, law or operating requirements change. Continued use after an updated effective date constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to mandatory rights that apply to you by law. Subject to such mandatory rights, courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.
